Hull Floods 2007
Mr and Mrs Heseltine,
187 Bristol Road, Hull.
The devastating floods in the summer of 2007 led to thousands of homes in Hull and the surrounding areas being uninhabitable and insurance networks being overwhelmed with requests for help.
We answered the call for assistance and set up a dedicated operation in Hull within days of the incident. Over the next 12 months we helped hundreds of people to get back into their homes.
Mr and Mrs Heseltine were amongst the many who suffered and we are delighted to have been able to help them.

How did we help them?
Prompt Survey
As soon as we were appointed we made contact with Mr and Mrs Heseltine and arranged an early visit to their home. We agreed the work that was needed, explained how the claim would be handled and listened to their concerns
Planning the work
We quickly obtained authorisation from the network partner and agreed the work we would need to do. Once the work was approved we agreed with the couple how the repairs would be carried out. We spent a lot of time making sure that they could choose how the redecoration would be carried out. Also, we ensured they were able to make the right choice of kitchen units, wall tiles and flooring and planned with them how the work would be completed.
Managing the project
We allocated a full time project team and kept a regular dialogue to ensure Mr and Mrs Heseltine felt at home with us and the work we were doing. To put their minds at rest we kept them informed as the property was put back together and always made certain that they knew the progress we were making without having to ask. Whenever they had a query of any sort, we made sure they could call us to put their mind at ease.
The Final Product
Mr and Mrs Heseltine were delighted with the results and provided this testimony to our work "thank you for your patience, understanding and professionalism. Although we were out for 9 months the finished product was well worth waiting for". |
